Chipotle Insanity

For whatever reason, I have never really been much of a Chipotle guy. Perhaps I just haven't lived in close proximity to a Chipotle, perhaps I usually just decide on Baja Fresh before the thought of Chipotle even crosses my mind?...I'm not sure, but this afternoon, after attending the UCLA vs Texas A&M basketball game at the Anaheim Honda Center, I went to Chipotle for just the 2nd time in my life.

I ordered a chicken salad to go, and it ended up being pretty tasty, but that's not the point.

As I returned to my car, it hit me that the only other time that I patronized a Chipotle was in Tucson, Arizona, immediately following the UCLA vs Texas Tech basketball game at the McKale Center in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Pretty crazy if you ask me.

Purely out of respect to the incredibly awesome random similarities of these 2 visits, I will refuse to patronize a Chipotle until immediately after the next time I attend a UCLA vs (insert Texas school here) basketball game on a neutral court.

I live a block from a Chipotle and although I think their food is ok, I’m much more of a Baja Fresh guy. I especially like the “Baja Burrito” at Baja Fresh and would recommend it to any white person who likes a quality, not-too-ethnic burrito. By the way, am I the only human on earth that doesn’t like rice in a burrito? I think the rice takes away from the other ingredients…guacamole is much better in burritos. Am I wrong? Are they putting rice in burritos as a cost-saving measure, kinda like the way they stuff tons of lettuce in a Subway sandwich? Anyway, if you’re making my burrito, get that fucking rice out of my grill.

I have never eaten at Chipotle and there is one a mile or so from where I live. I didn't know it was so popular until recently.
